The first LIO code is up and running on OpenMoko Freerunner sample hardware.
- ) What has been tested with the current prototype..?
Running Core-iSCSI connected to Playstation3/iSCSI over 802.11 b/g Wifi and GPRS using a small (2 GB) ext3 READ-ONLY mount.
So far, audio playback using OpenMoko Media Player across Wifi is stable.
- ) When can I find the builds..?
The v2.6.24 builds for GTA02 are available at LIO-Cluster link.
The builds will also be tested on FIC Neo1973
- ) How do I install the builds..?
opkg install lio-package.ipk
Also, run 'depmod -ae' after installing the *modules* .ipk so modprobe will pickup the new modules.
- ) When will more information be available..?
For information specific to iSCSI over Cellular networks, have a look at iSCSI/GSM.
For information specific to the Core-iSCSI initiator, have a look at Core-iSCSI HOWTO.
If you are looking to quickly get an iSCSI target setup, I would highly recommend using LIO-VM, which works very well with FILEIO, USB, and generic SCSI export with Vmware Workstation for Linux/Mac/Win.
Also, for locating the distribution support and how to build from source, have a look at LIO-Target.
Also, the plan is to connect OCFS2/iSCSI_for_OS-2008 for shared storage clusters over iSCSI/WiFI.
